My review of Batman '89 Echoes (2023) From: DC Comics!
Oh boy where to begin with this review. There's much to discus so let's get into it.
First of all this book did what Captain America brave New world did. It advertised Two characters as if they were the main character appearing. Batgirl is on the back of the cover and scarecrow is on the cover. Batgirl never appears until the last four pages & Crane has only one costumed appearance as scarecrow.
It felt like they were rushing this into production because there are pages missing, the scene changes abruptly. 1 minute you're following Batman suiting up and on the next page it's him opening the refrigerator at home, no explanation as to how he escaped, got home, woke up, none of that.
It also feels like they rushed so much because of the success of the first one there is too many villains not enough Batman. There is too much explaining and not enough action. And this comic was lacking.... oh yeah BATMAN. It's like they forget whose comic this was.
While there are some good moments if these were the scales of life and death the bad moments severely outweighs the few sprinkles of good moments.
All in all I give this a 2 out of 10 Fear Toxin vials
